JEE Main 2020: Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the application form, candidates must go through the JEE Main Eligibility conditions.

Age:

There is no age limit to apply for JEE Main 2020

Qualification:

Candidate must have qualified their 10+2 level exams with at least of five mandatory subjects such as Physics, Mathematics as well as anyone from the Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or any other technical vocational or its equivalent from a recognized board or university. Also, those candidates who are holding a diploma can also apply for admission but only in IITs.

JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern

Mode of Examination:

The entrance test is going to be organized in online CBT mode. On the other hand, the drawing test in Paper II is going to be held in offline. The question paper will comprise of objective type. However, the drawing test of paper II will contain subjective type.

Number of Papers:

The entrance exam will comprise of two papers that is, Paper I and Paper-II.

Paper I is going to be held for admission into B.E/B. Tech program while Paper-II, on the other hand, is going to be held for admission into B.Arch and B.Plan programs. The time duration to complete the paper will be of 3 hours.

Total Marks:

Paper-I will be comprised of a total number of 360 marks. While paper II will be of total 390 marks.

Marking Scheme:

For every correct answer, 4 marks will be given and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

For Paper I (B.E/B.Tech):

JEE Main 2020 Examination

This is basically a national level screening test which is held every year in order to offer admission into several engineering programs such as B.E, B.Tech, B.Plan, and B.Arch.

According to the decision taken by HRD Ministry, the entrance examination of JEE Main from the year 2019 onwards is going to be conducted twice in the year that is in the months of January and April.

All the candidates who want to pursue these engineering programmes in a number of renowned institutions such as IIT’s, CFTI’s, NIT’s etc. have to qualify this test which can be done by securing the minimum qualifying cut-off marks, which the officials will release on the official site after the exam will be conducted.
